About you
Who are you?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will help with the development of new weighing products. You are able to standardize the most commonly used parts on the one hand and work out and calculate customer specific requests on the other hand. You work on the standardization of our products with the objective of less variation between different types and a guaranteed high quality.
You are able to calculate static and dynamic loads using FEM software and ensure that the design complies with safety standards. You will work with the other engineers to optimize the design to build a complete product portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work with us to set up a PLM system from your experience.
For this vacancy we are specifically looking for an engineer with a lot of knowledge and skills in sheet metal and affinity for hydraulics.

Mechanical Engineer
- (Re)designing our mobile weighing solutions (we now work in SolidWorks).
- Initiating and working out design standardization.
- Calculating products for static loads (FEM).
- Setting up and setting up PLM/PDM together with the Innovation & Technology Manager.
- You have experience in working out constructions and designs in 3D-CAD (SolidWorks).
- You think and work at college level (preferably mechanical engineering, industrial product design, or mechatronics).
- Experience with GD&T principles, DfMA or in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Experience with steel and stainless steel parts cutting, milling, setting and welding a must. Experience with high strength steels a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of hydraulics is a plus, but an interest in (further) studying this and mastering the knowledge is a must.
- A nice salary, in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement.
- 27 vacation days and on top of that 13 scheduled days off that can be taken in part.
