What are the rules?
Explosion safety and legislation
According to the ATEX directives, companies must divide their work environment into danger zones, as determined by an internal safety expert:
Zone 1
In zone 1, there is a regular danger of explosion from gases such as solvents.
Zone 2
In zone 2 there is only an occasional risk of explosion due to gas formation.
Zone 21
In zone 21 there is a risk of explosion due to dust, such as with powder filling.
Zone 22
In zone 22 there is only an occasional risk of explosion due to dust accumulation.

- Intrinsically safe electronics: prevents sparking through low voltage and special fuses.
- Stainless steel fork shoes: a non-sparking material for extra safety.
- Antistatic wheels: safely conduct static charge to the ground.
- Swivel indicator: for optimal view of the measurement when reading.
