Van Rijnsbergen-Liebrechts

At Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts, everything revolves around efficient waste management. The family business from Zaltbommel specializes in renting waste containers, collecting and processing waste into new raw materials. Every year, the company processes some 35,000 tons of industrial waste, construction and demolition waste and bulky waste.

But processing waste is more than just logistics and recycling. Strict environmental regulations require accurate registration of all waste streams. Each type of waste must be correctly weighed and administratively processed so that reports are complete and compliant. This makes waste accounting an essential but time-consuming part of the process.

To make this more efficient, Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts sought a solution that would make weighing and recording seamless and error-free. That solution was found in RAVAS' mobile weighing system, integrated into their forklift trucks. The result? A dramatic improvement in speed, accuracy and ease of use.

The challenge

Rigorous waste accounting and time-consuming processes

Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts processes large quantities of waste every day. On peak days, up to 125 containers are unloaded, each with its own waste stream that must be accurately recorded. Strict environmental regulations require error-free waste accounting, which made the process time-consuming.

Previously, containers were weighed separately on a weighbridge, which caused waiting times, extra handling and the potential for administrative errors. Transport and weighing were separate processes, limiting efficiency. To improve this, Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts sought a faster and more accurate solution. The answer: mobile weighing with RAVAS.

The solution

Mobile weighing with the RAVAS RCS-PLUS

To make the weighing process more efficient, Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts chose RAVAS' RCS PLUS weighing system, integrated into their forklift trucks. This system makes it possible to weigh containers directly while moving, without intermediate steps or waiting times.

How it works. The forklift driver scans the container with a hand-held terminal. At the same time, the system weighs the contents and links the weight to the customer data and waste type. All data is automatically transmitted to the central database.

The benefits:

  • Time savings: weighing and unloading are done simultaneously.
  • Error-free registration: no manual entry is required.
  • Higher efficiency: containers are unloaded and registered more efficiently.

Thanks to this approach, the entire process runs more smoothly and accurately, with minimal effort on the part of the drivers.

"Before, we had to keep waiting at the weighbridge, now everything goes in one smooth motion. That saves us an enormous amount of time and makes the work a lot easier."

De impact

Time savings and better data quality

The switch to mobile weighing has made a big difference in speed and accuracy at Van Rijnsbergen-Liebregts. Because containers are weighed immediately during unloading, there is no more waiting time at the weighbridge and processing is much more efficient.

In addition, the automatic data registration ensures that waste accounting is always up-to-date and error-free. Weighing data is directly linked to the correct container and customer, which provides better reports and more insight into waste flows.
